In the 17 years we have been in business we have never seen so many of our almost 300 future watch indicators show such severe warning signs. Our world's political systems are destroying the very biological foundations of life. Global warming is only a part of larger problems such as the draining of fresh water supplies and the destruction of world fisheries.

All this is being done in the name of creating economic growth but the same systems that are destroying the planet's environment have created a world economic system that is totally unstable. In America, for example, we have an economy that plunges deeper and deeper into record levels of debt. Today, America is the world's largest debtor with a structural balance of payments deficit of at least $600 billion. There are few signs of reform on the horizon.

The crisis that is coming will shake the world but it is also a source of hope since it will shatter the power of false gods.

Human beings have survived tough times before, and we can do so again. What we need to do is prepare for the challenges ahead and to stop believing fairy tale promises from people such as the leading economists who claimed the disaster of 2008 was never going to happen.

We are looking for an exceptional person who wants to make a difference in today's world.

Our mission is to educate people and leaders about the severity of the global problems and the severity of the reforms needed to solve those problems.

In particular, our mission is to help define the difference between real reform and politically contrived, fake reform.

It is important to understand time and history in discussing current world events. Political philosophy matters. We have spent a great of time studying the suicide of democracy in ancient Greece and Rome. We have also spent a lot of time studying the ancient roots of political totalitarianism, not only in the west, but in ancient China and ancient India.

It is our hope that the political systems in America and Europe will reform themselves. Indeed, this is essential. There will be grim consequences if this does not happen.

However, if reform does not come, the emerging crisis is certain to sweep away these systems. Thus, we are looking for people with a creative vision in terms of future political systems and an awareness of the political models of the past. The American political system is not a suicide pact or a religion. If it continues to fail, it will need to be replaced by another system. The biological foundations of life on this planet must be protected. This is the ultimate frame of reference for the analysis of the political future of the world.

We are very interested in Europe so German language skills would also be a plus. Chinese language skills would also be a plus. If you have lived overseas or if you are from overseas, this is a plus.

Media, art and popular culture are relevant to us as means of communication. (We have a program on this.) If you have a Facebook page, that would be useful so we could see your cultural interests.
