EXCEPTIONAL WRITER AND SPOKESPERSON NEEDED This is an important position for us. This is why we created this page separate from our main help wanted page. 2010 is going to be very important year for our world. In the 15 years we have been in business we have never seen so many of our almost 300 future watch indicators show such severe warning signs. The global environment has never been in such a crisis. However, at the same time there is unprecedented opportunity for reform.. We are looking for an exceptional person who wants to make a difference in today's world. We are looking for somebody to help us communicate about two subjects, the severity of the global problems and the severity of the reforms needed to solve those problems. In particular, our mission is to help define the difference between real reform and politically contrived, fake reform. Here is an audio message to you from Alexander Bruen, The President of the World Future Fund. Click here for Windows Media file. Here is an introduction to our work you should read: Introduction to Future Watch Studies on Our Site We want somebody with editorial vision who can reach out to people of difference points of view and is not afraid to follow the facts - regardless of whether or not they contradict powerful political interests. It is also important to understand time and history in discussing current world events. Ideally, you would have the ability to network in person with leadership people here in Washington and around the world. We are very interested in Europe so German language skills would also be a plus. Chinese language skills would also be a plus. Send your resume to this address: worldfuturefund@aol.com. Note: We do check our e mail on weekends. No phone calls, please. If you "don't understand" a simple ad like this, how can you take on the challenges of the global future? Some final thoughts: A QUOTE FROM MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR., APRIL 4, 1967
"We are now faced with the fact, my friends, that
tomorrow is today. We are confronted with the fierce urgency of now. In this
unfolding conundrum of life and history, there is such a thing as being too
late. Procrastination is still the thief of time. Life often leaves us
standing bare, naked, and dejected with a lost opportunity. The tide in the
affairs of men does not remain at flood -- it ebbs. We may cry out desperately
for time to pause in her passage, but time is adamant to every plea and rushes
on.
Over the bleached bones and jumbled residues of
numerous civilizations are written the pathetic words, "Too late."
A QUOTE FROM FRIEDRICH NIETZSCHE "When I look into the abyss, the abyss looks back." We are looking for somebody who has the nerve to look into the abyss ahead and has the vision to be a responsible prophetic voice in speaking truth to power.
