THE CRISIS OF THE OLD REGIME
IN AMERICA - JULY 2011
America is looking more and more like a failed state.
It's broken political system has failed to deal with basic environmental and economic problems.
The old regime in America looks more and more like the failed
political system
of France before the French Revolution.
Incompetent and corrupt elites dominate both parties.
On Monday, July 25, 2011 America changed forever.
The Democratic Party capitulated to Republican demands
and endorsed a budget with massive budget cuts and not one penny
of tax increases for the richest people in America even though
the nation is at war and taxes on the rich are at their lowest level in 70
years.
Even worse the Democrats agreed to a lunatic system of future
budget planning
for ten year years that makes mindless cuts all across the board and creates
a budget system that is certain not to work.
Will democracy in America commit suicide as it did in ancient Athens and Rome?
We are not at that point yet but the momentum is in the wrong direction.
Could Obama end up being the Louis XVI of America? Time
will tell.
