LIST SITE INDEX WORLD FUTURE FUND GRANT PROGRAM FOR NON VIOLENT CONFLICT RESOLUTION If we are to deal with global problems, the whole planet needs to work together. Our organization is deeply committed to the cause of constructive non-violent dialogue and conflict resolution. In pursuit of this goal, we sometimes make grants to other organizations. We are interested in funding groups that are working to bring nations together to establish peace. The World Future Fund Grant for Non-Violent Conflict Resolution is an initiative that aims to promote peaceful solutions to conflicts around the globe. This program provides financial assistance to organizations and groups that are actively involved in developing and implementing non-violent conflict resolution strategies. Our grant is intended to support projects that seek to reduce tensions, build trust, and foster understanding between parties in conflict.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION ON TODAY'S WORLD CRISIS The destruction of the environment is a critical issue. We are all connected in the web of life. There is no America first, China first, India first or other nationalistic solution to global environmental problems. Climate change and environmental threats are now one of the greatest threats to human life on the planet, and they are not being taken seriously. We are also in the middle of the largest nuclear arms race in the history of the world. Many people are unaware that this is a much larger arms race than the one between America and the Soviet Union during the Cold War. What is even more troubling is that America's declining relations with China have led the Chinese government to launch a massive nuclear weapons buildup, so that by the end of this decade, there will be 3 nuclear superpowers, not just 2. This is all fueling a further acceleration of nuclear weapons construction by countries such as India. It certainly did not help that after Libya gave up its nuclear weapons, it became the target of an attack organized by America. The growing tensions between the world's nuclear superpowers is one of the greatest threats of our time. According to the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, the doomsday clock (which measures the chance of a global catastrophe) is closer to midnight than it has ever been, even closer than it was during the height of the Cold War. In terms of the situation in Ukraine, we absolutely condemn Vladimir Putin's decision to invade the country. This has already had dire consequences for both the Ukrainian and Russian people. This war is a very serious situation. It could cause a nuclear confrontation between America and Russia and is already doing very serious harm to the U.S. economy and the world economy. We are interested in doing whatever we can to help the people of Ukraine and to bring an end to this crisis. What we need is a reversal in direction. We need to slow down the nuclear build-up. We need to start improving international relations. We need to start building cooperation to deal with real overall global problems, such as the destruction of the planet's environment, particularly the destruction of the oceans.
WHAT IS NEEDED? - A different direction for American foreign policy, a foreign policy built on confronting the real national security crises, the environment and so on. This should be the priority for a new system of national security. - An end to the economic war between America and China. America and China need to sit down together to resolve their differences and end the trade war. - A ceasefire as soon as possible in Ukraine. All sides need to sit together and work on resolving the situation. - A reduction in sanctions. As far as sanctions go, we're not against all sanctions, but we would generally advise against them as they are acts of war, and they do get people killed. See some of our pages below to get an idea of our interests and past projects. If your group is committed to similar goals, please contact us. We would prefer if you could send us a grant proposal that describes your project along with some references. RELATED LINKS WFF Reports Nuclear War - What's In It For You
